Bolt has integrated its one-click checkout into Paysecure's Cashier, giving merchants an option to offer returning shoppers a faster purchase flow while keeping existing controls over payment routing and risk.
The deal links Bolt's shopper identity system with Paysecure's payment orchestration layer. Merchants using Cashier can recognise returning Bolt shoppers and automatically populate checkout details, reducing the number of steps needed to complete a transaction.
Bolt says it operates a US shopper network of more than 80 million users. Paysecure's platform works across multiple acquirers and payment methods, with tools that route transactions by provider, region, and merchant-set rules.
Merchant controls
Under the integration, merchants keep control over how payments route through Paysecure, including which acquirers and payment methods to use. Risk settings remain with the merchant inside Paysecure's tooling, while eligible shoppers can use Bolt's one-click experience at checkout.
One-click checkout typically relies on a returning customer identity, stored payment credentials, and a way to reuse those details at the point of sale. Bolt's approach centres on recognising shoppers across participating merchants, according to the company.
Ryan Breslow, founder and CEO of Bolt, described the integration as a way to reduce checkout friction without giving up payment controls.
"Checkout still fails too many merchants at the moment of truth," said Ryan Breslow, Founder and CEO of Bolt. "This partnership brings identity and payments together in a way that removes obstacles without forcing merchants to give up control. By embedding Bolt's Shopper Network directly into Paysecure's Cashier, merchants can recognize returning shoppers, reduce steps at checkout, and see the impact in conversion and repeat purchases. This is a practical integration that improves performance without adding complexity."
High-risk merchants
The partnership also covers eligible US merchants in high-risk categories, subject to compliance and underwriting requirements. These merchants often face more scrutiny from acquirers and payment providers, along with higher decline rates and more restrictive processing terms.
The companies framed the integration as an alternative to adding another checkout provider alongside Paysecure's existing setup. In this model, merchants keep Paysecure's Cashier and orchestration layer while adding Bolt's identity-driven one-click option within the same checkout.
Amit Hooja, CEO of Paysecure, said merchants were looking for conversion gains without sacrificing flexibility.
"Merchants want higher conversion without sacrificing flexibility," said Amit Hooja, CEO at Paysecure. "Bolt is a clear leader in click-to-pay so the integration of Bolt's network into our dynamic Cashier and comprehensive orchestration platform, is a significant step forward in streamlining the checkout experience. It enables a smarter, faster and more effective journey for merchants and shoppers. At Paysecure, our ambition is to empower merchants to deliver the very best, customer-focused payment experience for every transaction, while preserving the routing, risk and operational controls they rely on."
Orchestration layer
Founded in 2022, Paysecure sells payment orchestration software for merchants and platforms that want to manage multiple payment service providers and acquirer connections through a single integration. The company says its ecosystem includes more than 500 payment methods, payment service providers, and acquirer connections, including DECTA and Worldpay.
Payment orchestration has grown as merchants seek redundancy, regional coverage, and control over costs and approval rates. Routing tools can select different providers based on location, payment method, performance, or merchant-set rules, while reporting layers consolidate transaction data across providers.
Paysecure says it will continue to support global payment acceptance while still recognising Bolt shoppers at checkout, regardless of how transactions route through the merchant's configured payment stack. This suggests Bolt's one-click identity recognition operates separately from the acquirer and payment-method choices within Paysecure's orchestration layer.
Bolt sells checkout, identity, and payments products to merchants, and also offers consumer-facing services tied to shopper accounts. The company lists fashion retailer Revolve, jewellery brand Kendra Scott, and apparel brand Lilly Pulitzer among merchants that use its services.
The companies did not disclose commercial terms, pricing, or how many merchants are expected to roll out the integrated one-click checkout first. Bolt One-Click will be available inside Cashier for merchants that want to offer the experience to eligible shoppers.
