Anthony has been living and breathing technology since he was a child. He has contributed to almost every major technology publication in Australia as well as editing a few along the way. In his spare time, he likes to run, especially on trails, and plays Australian Rules football through the winter.

Catherine has a keen interest in all areas of technology and storytelling in our digital age. Having worked with a number of businesses and people across media, education, publishing and communications, Catherine has a definite respect for common sense, great content and turning ideas into reality.

Damian has been contributing for Techday since 2009 and is always available whenever a video game needs to be reviewed. Aside from being a big gamer, he is also one of biggest professional wrestling fans. Damian likes Star Wars, comic book movies and Metallica.

Darren Price has been playing video games and messing with technology for 45 years. For the last fifteen years he’s been writing about games and tech, as well. He hates sport, but loves sports video games - which he puts down to a mixture of being annoyingly contrary and extremely lazy. Whilst he is completely tone deaf, he considers Rock Band to be his guilty pleasure. A geek from way back, Darren builds his own computers, collects comic books, owns several lightsabers and is a sucker for video-gaming merchandise.

Fascinated by the technology industry after a visit to a Computer Faire in 1998, Donovan Jackson first worked as a public relations consultant for enterprise software and hardware distribution companies in 2000, then as a journalist for IDG-affiliated channel and trade publications, and as a producer of commercial content as an agency owner through the 2000s and 2010s. He has served as ITBrief editor in the last days of the printed magazine, and has a long association with TechDay as a contributor to special projects. Donovan has wide interests spanning technology, philosophy, bicycles, literature, psychology, motorcycles, travel, geography, history, general knowledge, and various combinations of these and other subjects.

With a background in media, JP is the definition of a tech nerd. After a stint as a journo, he's moved on to marketing but in his spare time, he still loves deep-diving into the best of tech, games, and films. You can chat to JP about anything from the latest console releases to supercomputer teraFLOPs and he'll be sure to have an opinion.

Jake MacAndrew started off writing breaking news hits in his early days as a journalist. Since those late nights on the pulse for local breakthroughs, he has written stories on many topics, from cybersecurity education in Ukraine to the investment potential of fine wines. With each story Jake writes, no matter the topic, in-depth and accurate reporting is key. Previously living in Edinburgh, he's back in his hometown of Toronto.

A passionate gamer with a strong love for manga, webtoons, and binge-worthy series. With one year of professional experience in editing and publishing, bringing a sharp editorial eye and a deep appreciation for storytelling, focusing on creating and refining content that connects with modern audiences.

Kaleah Salmon is a journalist in the TechDay editorial team. She has a keen interest in health, fitness, travel and sport. She previously worked as a journalist for Australian publication, Ministry of Sport.

Karen wears two hats at TechDay, balancing her role as an editor while assisting with finance tasks. She bridges writing content and reconciling numbers to support the team, with the same level of accuracy and precision.

Mark Tarre is an editor and journalist with experience across newsroom, public relations, and digital publishing. He has worked across different organisations on editorial and content-led projects. He holds a journalism degree.

Owen McCarthy has had a long love affair with all things technical since the dawn of the computer age. A child of the 1960’s, he agrees with legendary author, Douglas Adams, that digital watches were a pretty neat idea. By the 1980’s Owen was learning how to code using C and by the turn of the century, he was teaching HTML to enthusiastic youngsters. These days, Owen can be found pestering editors for new technology to review on an annoyingly regular basis. In his spare time, he rides motorcycles of the three-wheeled variety, studies theology, aqua-jogs, and works hard to honour his late wife’s request to live a joy-filled life.

Regine is a Marketing Assistant who has been fascinated with marketing since she was a teen. At TechDay, she supports website launches, email marketing, and day-to-day marketing initiatives across the business. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her six cats (for now) and playing the ukulele.

Having started his career at Renaissance. Sean joined Apple in Melbourne for a number of years before working in the media space. This started with Review Publishing and later the tech publisher IDG Communications. In 2006 he was involved in the launch of The Channel magazine. As they say – the rest is history.

Shadda is a tech-savvy person who loves helping customers and making digital experiences smoother. She believes that great technology should feel effortless and human, and since 2021, she's been blending IT expertise with creative flair to keep things efficient, friendly, and fun. She's passionate about exploring new online games and getting lost in her next favorite novel.

Shannon is an experienced journalist and editor with a strong interest in technology and the digital world. Her career spans a wide range of sectors, including tech, politics, tourism, transport and climate change, where she brings a sharp editorial eye and an ability to translate complex issues into clear, engaging stories.

Sofiah Nichole has balanced a dual passion for technical precision and the written word since 2017. Before diving into the world of Civil Engineering, she spent years navigating school press conferences and contributing to university publications, honing her skills as a versatile staff writer. Outside of her engineering labs, you can find her advocating for student voices and looking for the next great story to tell. She believes that whether you are building a bridge or a news report, the foundation must be rock solid.

Originally from the Isle of Man, Tom has been contributing for Techday for a number of years. He loves sport, tech and cars. In his spare time, you’ll either find him on the golf course, playing football or test-driving a new car.
