Glassbox has earned a Solutions Partner with certified software designation for financial services AI within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. The designation covers interoperability with Microsoft Cloud services, including Azure.

The recognition builds on Glassbox's existing relationship with Microsoft. The New York-based digital experience analytics provider already offers its software through Azure Marketplace. It also places Glassbox among Microsoft partners whose software has been recognised in a programme focused on cloud and AI products for business customers.

The designation applies to Glassbox's work in financial services AI, a category with particular relevance for suppliers serving banks and other regulated institutions. Glassbox sells digital experience intelligence tools that capture and analyse customer behaviour, journey context and technical signals across web and mobile channels.

That market has become increasingly focused on using artificial intelligence to surface operational issues, customer friction and commercial trends from large volumes of digital interaction data. Financial institutions also face tighter scrutiny over privacy, governance and security when deploying AI tools in customer-facing or decision-support roles.

Glassbox said its Glassbox Insights Assistant is powered by Azure OpenAI Service. The product forms part of a broader effort to expand its work with Microsoft and bring AI-based analysis to customers in heavily regulated sectors.

The interoperability designation is likely to matter to buyers seeking assurance that software can work with existing cloud environments. In industries such as banking and insurance, procurement decisions often turn on technical integration, governance processes and whether vendors fit within pre-approved cloud frameworks.

According to the company, Glassbox counts seven of the 10 largest US banks by assets among its customers. It also serves enterprises across financial services, insurance, retail and other digital-first sectors in more than 40 countries.

Glassbox also highlighted its ISO 42001 certification for AI management and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certification for privacy management. Enterprise software vendors often use those standards to support procurement reviews around responsible AI use and data handling practices.

Microsoft ties

Glassbox described the new status as a deeper stage in its relationship with Microsoft. It has been building around Microsoft infrastructure as demand rises for AI tools that can be deployed inside large corporate cloud estates rather than through stand-alone environments.

Across the software market, vendors have sought closer alignment with major cloud providers as customers look to limit operational complexity and consolidate technology purchasing. For smaller and mid-sized software groups in particular, visibility within partner ecosystems can affect both sales access and credibility with large organisations.

For Microsoft, the expansion of partner offerings around Azure and related AI services is part of a broader strategy to embed its cloud and AI stack into industry-specific applications. Financial services has been a prominent target because banks, insurers and payment companies continue to modernise legacy systems while remaining cautious about risk and compliance.

Guy Perry, Chief Executive Officer of Glassbox, said the new designation marked a step forward in the relationship. "With the certified software designation, our alignment with Microsoft reaches a new collaborative level," Perry said.

He added: "Since launching on Azure Marketplace, we've partnered closely with Microsoft to ensure our platform meets the world's demanding standards for security, privacy and scalability. This designation reflects our shared commitment to delivering trustworthy AI-powered experience intelligence to the largest enterprises in the world."

Microsoft also commented on the designation and its relevance to partners selling into cloud-led demand areas. "Attaining a Solutions Partner* with certified software** designation is an important way for partners to stand out in the market and demonstrate their proven capabilities in areas of high customer demand. Earning a certified software designation for your solution can help position you to meet the growing demand for cloud-based solutions. We're pleased to welcome Glassbox and its Glassbox Insights Assistant solution to Microsoft's exclusive growing network of partners with certified software designations," said Andrew Smith, General Manager, Partner Programs & Experiences, Microsoft.

Sector focus

Glassbox's emphasis on financial services reflects one of the most active areas for enterprise AI investment. Banks are under pressure to improve digital journeys, reduce drop-off in onboarding and servicing processes, and identify technical or usability problems faster, particularly as more customer interactions move to mobile and online channels.

At the same time, software vendors serving this market must address concerns around auditability, privacy and controls. That has created an opening for companies that can combine analytics with AI features while still meeting the compliance expectations of large institutions.

Glassbox said its work with Microsoft is intended to support customers seeking AI-driven insight within a cloud environment that meets those operational and regulatory demands. Seven of the 10 largest US banks by assets are already Glassbox customers.
