Finalytics.ai has launched a personalised digital experience for Travis Credit Union, covering the credit union's website for its almost 280,000 members.

The system is designed to tailor website content to what individual members and visitors appear to be trying to do, such as opening an account, comparing auto loans or looking for ways to save. Rather than presenting the same page to every user, the site adjusts guidance, product information and suggested next steps based on how a person moves through it.

Travis Credit Union said the change mirrors the approach members encounter in its branches, where staff first seek to understand a person's needs before offering help. The credit union is the 12th largest in California and has nearly USD $6 billion in assets.

Examples outlined by the companies include a young adult researching a first credit card being shown plain-language information on building credit, while a family comparing auto loans is shown rates, monthly payments and a route to pre-approval.

Grant Karsas, Vice President of Digital Experience at Travis Credit Union, said the aim was to bring that sense of recognition online.

"Our members know what it feels like to walk into a Travis branch and be recognized. We wanted the same thing online. Every member should feel that the experience was built for them, because it was. This is about listening to what each person needs and making it easier for them to reach their goals," Karsas said.

Finalytics said its platform interprets visitor behaviour across the website and alters content, offers and next steps to match that apparent intent. It also supports Travis with the copy, offers and reporting tied to the digital experience.

Performance is being measured through outcomes including accounts opened and loans funded. The personalised experience is already live across the Travis website, with further refinement expected as members use it.

Member focus

The launch reflects a broader push by financial institutions to make digital channels more responsive to individual customer needs, particularly as more product discovery and application journeys move online. Community banks and credit unions have increasingly looked for ways to replicate branch-style service on websites and mobile channels, where user journeys can be more fragmented.

For Travis, the emphasis is on reducing the amount of searching required before a member can complete a task. The objective is to show more relevant information earlier in the journey, whether a user is at the research stage or ready to apply.

Craig McLaughlin, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Finalytics.ai, said the project was framed around member needs rather than technical features.

"Travis started from the member's point of view and worked backward. The question was never what the technology could do, it was what a member standing in front of us would need, and how the website could answer that first. That is the right way to think about personalization, and the Travis team held us to it," McLaughlin said.

Finalytics operates as a credit union service organisation and focuses on personalisation and decisioning tools for credit unions and community banks. Its platform is intended to identify what a visitor needs through online behaviour across websites, application processes and digital banking channels.

Travis Credit Union has operated since 1951 and describes itself as a full-service financial institution. Alongside its almost 280,000 members and nearly USD $6 billion in assets, it has highlighted recent external recognition, including workplace and regional credit union rankings.
