Bazaarvoice and DaVinci Commerce have partnered to integrate shopper ratings and reviews into AI shopping agents and storefronts. The deal brings Bazaarvoice review data into DaVinci's recently launched Brand Agent and Product Context Memory tools.

The arrangement places authenticated consumer reviews inside conversational shopping experiences, including brand storefront applications built with OpenAI and other AI-led retail environments. In those settings, shoppers interacting with an AI agent receive product recommendations alongside ratings and reviews drawn from Bazaarvoice's network.

The integration targets a fast-growing part of online retail, where brands are trying to influence purchase decisions made inside chat-based interfaces rather than on conventional product pages. By inserting review content at the point of recommendation, the companies aim to replicate part of the traditional eCommerce journey within AI-led conversations.

The review data will also feed into DaVinci's Product Context Memory system, which stores context around individual products so AI agents can make recommendations based on user intent and prior information. Bazaarvoice's role centres on verified consumer sentiment gathered from its wider ratings and reviews network.

The move reflects a broader push by retail technology providers to ensure AI-generated recommendations include the evidence shoppers already rely on, particularly peer feedback. Reviews have long been a central feature of online product pages, but conversational commerce has raised questions about how that material will appear when shoppers interact with an agent rather than browse a catalogue.

Both companies presented the partnership as a way to preserve trust in those exchanges. DaVinci's platform is designed to help brands and retailers publish product information into AI shopping environments, while Bazaarvoice's business is built around collecting, moderating, verifying and distributing user-generated content, including ratings, reviews, photos and videos.

DaVinci was founded by Diaz Nesamoney, who also founded Informatica, and counts Accenture among its backers. The company says its platform is used by brands and retailers including Nestlé, Diageo, Giant Eagle and Nordstrom.

Bazaarvoice, based in Austin, says it connects more than 13,000 brands and retailers to shopper content used across retail and media networks. Its business has largely focused on placing consumer feedback on product pages and syndicating that content across online commerce channels.

Shift in shopping

The partnership comes as technology groups and retailers test how shopping behaviour changes when consumers use AI tools to search for products, compare options and narrow their choices. In that model, the AI interface can become the first point of product discovery, reducing the role of search results pages and standard eCommerce navigation.

That shift has implications for how brands present product information. If the recommendation is delivered in a conversational response, supporting material such as reviews, ratings and other signals of customer approval may need to appear in the same interaction rather than on a separate page.

Diaz Nesamoney, founder and chief executive officer of DaVinci Commerce, described the partnership in those terms. "Shopping is moving upstream into AI apps, conversational environments and personal AI agents, and shoppers expect those experiences to be both immersive and trustworthy," he said.

"Integrating Bazaarvoice's gold-standard review data into our Brand Agent and Agentic BrandStore platform gives AI agents authentic, verified recommendations to serve, and dramatically shortens the path from discovery to purchase," Nesamoney said.

For Bazaarvoice, the agreement extends its role from conventional eCommerce pages into AI-driven channels where purchase decisions are increasingly being shaped. Its review network is intended to carry consumer feedback into whichever digital environment the shopper is using.

Brenda Tuohig, senior vice president of strategic partnerships at Bazaarvoice, set out that position. "Shoppers are increasingly making decisions inside AI experiences, and the Bazaarvoice Network is built to bring authentic customer voices wherever those decisions happen," she said.

"By embedding our verified UGC into DaVinci's agentic ecosystem, we're giving shoppers the social proof they need to move from discovery to checkout in a single, trusted conversation," Tuohig said.
