Markable launches free AI tools to widen creator access

Fri, 24th Apr 2026 (Today)

Markable has launched a free tier of its creator commerce platform, opening a set of artificial intelligence tools to a wider group of creators.

The Seattle-based company is rolling out Smart Deep Links, AutoDM and AI Product Collage, features previously limited to paying users or a curated creator network.

More than 1,000 social creators use the platform, which drove more than USD $1 billion in affiliate sales last year. Markable expects that figure to double this year as social commerce expands in the US market.

The launch comes as large technology and retail groups, including Amazon, Meta and Walmart, step up their own creator initiatives. Social commerce in the US is forecast to grow 18 per cent this year and exceed USD $100 billion by the end of 2026, according to figures cited by Markable.

Free tools

The new free tier gives creators access to Smart Deep Links, which direct followers into native shopping apps, and AutoDM, which can automatically reply to comments with messages and links triggered by keywords. AutoDM can handle up to 2,000 replies and follow up with users who commented within the previous seven days.

Also included are AI Product Collage, which helps creators assemble shoppable product images more quickly, and Viral Products, a feature that highlights top-selling items by category. The package is designed to help creators manage audience engagement and affiliate sales across social and retail channels.

Markable said creators on its platform have been able to grow their businesses organically while spending less time on routine tasks. The broader release marks a shift from concentrating access among selected creators to offering a wider entry point for new users.

Creator economy

Markable framed the launch around the scale of the creator economy, citing industry estimates that more than 200 million people worldwide identify as creators, including 65 per cent of Gen Z.

That growth has intensified competition among platforms, brands and retailers seeking a larger share of creator-led shopping. For creators, the business model increasingly depends on tools that connect content, audience interaction and purchase links in a single workflow.

Markable focuses on affiliate-driven commerce, where creators earn income when followers buy products through links or direct messages. Many of its users are independent creators building businesses around social media audiences, including some who have turned content creation into full-time work.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Joy Tang said Markable wanted to widen access to the tools its top users rely on.

"Creators are some of the hardest-working entrepreneurs out there. They're posting daily, managing communities and negotiating brand deals. They need smarter workflows that save them hours every week and put real money in their pockets. We've shown that the right tools can transform a creator's business with the incredible community we've built at Markable. Adding a powerful free tier is our commitment to equalizing opportunities for creators," Tang said.

Markable said its creator base includes people using content and commerce income to build substantial businesses from home. That reflects a broader shift in digital retail, as social platforms become a direct route to transactions rather than only a channel for brand marketing.

User response

One creator on the platform described the effect of the automation tools on her business.

"I would never have imagined in a million years that DM automation and all the features that Markable AI offers would truly change my business and make it more profitable than it was. One of my very good content creator friends told me about Markable AI, and I'm so glad I listened to her and signed up, because it truly changed my life. I think they're one of the best apps out there, and their boosting program is just life-changing," Hamai said.

As more social platforms and retailers try to turn content into transactions, the contest for creator loyalty is likely to centre on pricing, ease of use and access to tools that can translate attention into sales. Markable's free tier now gives any creator access to a broader share of that model.
