Infotech has launched its CIO Analytics platform and acquired software management company Zluri, its first acquisition in nearly three decades.

Formerly known as Info-Tech Research Group, the company has adopted its new name as it plans an ongoing expansion beyond its traditional research and advisory model. CIO Analytics, unveiled at the company's LIVE event in Las Vegas last June, is launching globally and is designed to connect to customers' IT systems through application programming interfaces.

The platform combines operational IT data with Infotech's research, benchmarks, AI-assisted services, and analyst input. At launch, it includes three modules: Service Desk Analytics, Application Discovery, and Identity Governance and Administration.

Zluri will continue serving its existing customers while contributing technology to the new platform, particularly in application discovery and identity governance. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Infotech said the move reflects a broader shift in how it advises Chief Information Officers, with greater emphasis on live operational data rather than static assessments. API connections reduce manual discovery work and allow analysts to spend more time on interpretation, prioritisation, and action planning, it said.

Infotech is positioning the platform to bring company-specific operating data into IT leaders' decision-making as advisory firms and enterprise software suppliers respond to the growing use of AI in IT management.

Infotech said it now serves more than 30,000 IT leaders globally. It added that it has more than quadrupled in size over the past seven years, growing by more than 340 per cent, and has passed USD $300 million in annual revenue.

Founded in 2020, Zluri helps organisations discover, manage, and govern software-as-a-service applications, user identities, access, usage, and software spending.

Infotech said CIO Analytics also underpins what it calls AI-Assisted Advisory Services, which combine its research frameworks and analyst support with AI tools to produce operational deliverables for clients. Analysts remain responsible for the final output, it said.

Tom Zehren, Chief Executive Officer of Infotech, said the quality of IT advice depends on combining data with context.

"AI and analytics are nothing without the right data, and the right data is hard to act on without benchmarks and industry-leading insight that show what 'good' looks like. This is especially true for IT," Zehren said. "Infotech's new value proposition enables organizations to make better-informed decisions faster. Adding Zluri's expertise and capabilities helps us bring that visibility to more areas of IT."

Ritish Reddy, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zluri, said the deal reflects a belief that software and advisory services are moving closer together.

"The next era of IT won't be won by software or by legacy advisory alone. It will be won by bringing them together. From our first conversations with Infotech, it was clear this was the right home for Zluri. We share the same values and ambition for what we can build for CIOs and their teams," Reddy said.
