Emburse launches global partner community for expense management
Emburse has launched a global partner community comprising 140 organisations aimed at enhancing expense management for travel customers and finance professionals.
The Emburse Partner Community is intended to promote closer collaboration between financial services organisations, travel management companies, SaaS platforms, enterprise resource planning ecosystems, business marketplaces, integrators and resellers. The goal is to address existing challenges associated with expense management, such as duplicate submissions, confusing approval processes and disconnected systems.
Michele Shepard, Chief Revenue Officer of Emburse, stated: "At Emburse, we believe real transformation doesn't occur in silos — it happens in communities. By investing in our partners, we're not just expanding our reach, we're growing our impact. Together, we're building a unified travel and expense infrastructure that gives finance professionals smarter tools before they spend and intelligent validation after — without compromising flexibility or control."
The initiative represents an investment in tools, resources, and incentives intended for Emburse's partners. Core features of the programme include lead sharing, marketing development funds, enablement materials, events, and training and certifications. Partners are provided with access to a partner portal that offers collaboration tools, real-time reporting, and an on-demand content library. This enables partners to remain up to date with Emburse's AI-driven product developments.
Emburse's integration with partners is focused on providing finance professionals with a more seamless experience by reducing administrative pain points and applying AI-driven insights to manage spend. The organisation's approach, referred to as Expense Intelligence, aims for a proactive application of AI technology to corporate expenses. A new three-tiered partnership structure has been introduced, with partnerships adaptable according to each partner's specific requirements.
Key international organisations joining the initiative include Amadeus Cytric, Corporate Travel Management (CTM), Amex GBT Egencia, and Mastercard. These partnerships are designed to foster a unified and AI-supported travel and expense management infrastructure for Emburse's more than 20,000 customers worldwide.
Darren Toohey, Chief Sales & Customer Officer at CTM, commented: "At CTM, we believe strong partnerships are the foundation of transformative travel and expense solutions. The Emburse Partner Community reflects a shared commitment to innovation, transparency, and global customer success. We're proud to be part of a collaborative ecosystem that helps businesses around the world travel smarter and manage spend more effectively."
Ron Botchan, Co-Founder of Datanamic, said: "Datanamic is thrilled to join the Emburse Partner Community, helping customers successfully connect Emburse to their systems. Additionally, the Emburse Partner Community is full of great companies that help accelerate the growth of our business."
Pam Peddler, Regional VP – Northeast, Public Sector, OMNIA Partners, stated: "At OMNIA Partners, we are thrilled to partner with Emburse, whose innovative approach to expense and spend management aligns seamlessly with our mission to deliver value and efficiency to our members. Emburse's commitment to customer-centric solutions and continuous improvement makes them an ideal partner. We're especially excited to be part of the Emburse Partner Community, where collaboration and shared vision drive meaningful impact across the organisations we serve."
Mike May, Vice President, Technology Partner Program at UKG, said: "Partnering with Emburse allows us to extend our reach and provide even greater value to our customers. Together, we are well-positioned to help organisations navigate the complexities of today's business environment and achieve their strategic goals."
Emburse's investment includes expanded events, training opportunities, and certification programmes. Partners are eligible for support measures such as marketing development funds, collaboration tools, and access to an extensive content library. The new three-tiered structure is designed to accommodate a range of partner needs and encourage mutual alignment.
Greg Leven, Vice President, Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at Emburse, remarked: "We're doubling down on our commitment to partners because they're not an add-on to our strategy — they're a force multiplier. This new community and tiering structure reflects our belief that growth should be mutual, transparent, and built on real alignment. When our partners win, our customers thrive."
The partner community includes companies such as Amadeus Cytric, Amex GBT Egencia, AmTrav, AppZen, Convera, Corporate Travel Management (CTM), and Mastercard. The objective is to provide tools and frameworks that allow organisations to improve compliance, visibility, and control over spending activities in an increasingly complex business environment.
Emburse serves over 12 million finance leaders, travel managers, and professionals across more than 20,000 organisations in 120 countries. The company pursues the concept of Expense Intelligence, a framework that uses AI to support financial control, governance, and the strategic management of corporate spending.
