Aramex has appointed Tim Martin as Regional Chief Executive Officer for Europe and the Americas, confirming him in the role after a period as Acting Regional Chief Executive Officer.

He will lead the company's business across the UK, Europe and the Americas, with responsibility for regional strategy and execution, commercial activity, financial performance, operations, people and governance.

The appointment gives Martin formal oversight of one of Aramex's largest regional businesses. During his tenure as Acting Regional Chief Executive Officer for Europe and the US, the region became the second-largest revenue contributor in the company's network.

Martin has more than 33 years of experience in supply chain and logistics, spanning country, regional and global leadership roles. Before joining Aramex in 2024 as Chief Commercial Officer, he held senior positions including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing commercial and operational activity across the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Since joining Aramex, he has helped shape the company's commercial strategy, including initiatives linked to eCommerce, multimodal offerings and broader expansion plans. In his new role, he will also join the company's executive leadership group and contribute to global strategy.

Regional role

Aramex operates in more than 600 cities across 70 countries and employs more than 16,000 people. Headquartered in the UAE, the company provides international express, domestic express, freight forwarding, logistics and supply chain services.

The Europe and Americas role includes responsibility for trade lanes and vertical sectors that connect with other parts of the group's network. Martin's remit also covers closer cross-regional collaboration as Aramex develops priority routes and markets.

Amadou Diallo commented on the leadership change.

"Tim is an experienced and highly respected leader with a deep understanding of our industry, our customers and the markets in which we operate. During his time as Acting Regional CEO, he has demonstrated strong leadership and a clear focus on both commercial and operational performance. His appointment provides continuity for the region while reinforcing our ambitions for sustainable, profitable growth across these important markets. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Tim as we execute our new Accelerate program strategy and strengthen our position across Europe and North America," said Amadou Diallo, Group Chief Executive Officer, Aramex.

Growth focus

The appointment comes as logistics groups continue to navigate shifting trade flows, demand for cross-border delivery and pressure on margins across freight and parcel markets. For Aramex, the Europe and Americas region is an important part of its international footprint, particularly as it seeks to connect those markets more closely with its operations in the Middle East, Asia and elsewhere.

Martin said his priority would be to turn that regional position into commercial growth while maintaining service levels and execution. He also highlighted the importance of customer relationships and workforce management in the next phase of the business.

"I'm excited to take on the role of Regional Chief Executive Officer for Europe and the Americas. We have a significant opportunity across the region, supported by strong customer relationships, talented teams and an increasingly connected global network. My focus will be on translating that opportunity into sustainable growth, strengthening our commercial performance, delivering consistently for our customers and ensuring our teams are equipped to execute with pace and discipline. I look forward to working with colleagues across Aramex as we build the next phase of growth for the region," said Tim Martin, Regional Chief Executive Officer for Europe and the Americas, Aramex.
